Celebrated Chinese Actress & UN Ambassador Hai Qing visits The Grande Hotel in Hepburn Springs
The Grande Hotel in Hepburn Springs was very excited to recently host Hai Qing, one of China’s most celebrated actresses, influential charity and fashion icon, gender advocate and recent appointee as United Nations Women’s National Ambassador for China.
Hai Qing is currently on vacation in Australia with family and friends and was keen to visit this exceptional region and enjoy the unique experiences only found in this part of the world.
She loved the historic townships and spectacular bush setting and delighted in the food and wine offerings, the wildlife, bathing in the mineral springs, and the peaceful serenity of Hepburn Springs village.
Hai Qing also visited Sydney during her trip, meeting with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull at Kirribilli House to discuss an upcoming charity campaign she is co-fronting with Australian actress Nicole Kidman.
Flocked in Sydney by media and large crowds of Chinese Australians and tourists celebrating the Chinese New Year, Hepburn Springs was a beautiful breath of fresh air for her.
The actress and her party extended their stay at The Grande Hotel in order to enjoy this very relaxed time out in natural surrounds, the exemplary and world-class cuisine available at the hotel’s restaurant and a great new friendship with proprietors Ian and Jodie Hawkins and their young family.
Hai Qing and her family and friends will depart from Melbourne today, completing their first Australian visit. Happily it won’t be their last.
A return trip with close friend Jackie Chan is on the cards for later this year and he will certainly be guided to this outstanding little gem of a place in regional Victoria.
